Happy New Year!
Monday, December 25, 2006
Well, x-mas...

...is finally history... We had a calm celebration only Johan(my older brother), me and my mom. We talked about going with the rest of the family to my uncle's place, but decided to stay at mom's new flat. Kind of weird as it was the first christmas without Anders, so we thought it would be for the better to keep it kinda calm. And we also wanted to visit churchyard and Anders' grave. It was the first time I've been there since the funeral, but it awoke less feelings than expected. I wasn't able to connect the place with him, but mom keeps going there daily for comfort. I guess we've just got different ways mourning...
At about midnight I called it a draw and went to Last Train to hook up with Mathias for a few beers. The place was pretty stuffed, as I arrived a bit too early. So I met several others as well including my "sister in blood", Tor, and some pretty nice but smashed out bikers suffering some bad case of mouthdiarea, but totally unable to make understandable conversation. After that me and Mathias ended up at my place, pretty tired, winedrinking and listening to some indie-albums I've recently aquired... Pretty nice evening:)
On the meatmarket there has been some cleaning up the mess-work going on... The dumping of the sms-girl went kinda smooth, but instead of getting upset she just said "call me when you change your mind". Well, don't think that is going to happen. On the other hand I've started on this flirt-project with a very cool and pretty girl, but it's yet to see what happens... And I've got to clean up these other projects first... At least thats the clever way to do things to avoid further hammock and embarrasing incidents in the near future. The only thing left is to talk to the girl I've known for ages and call that project a draw....
Else, as DCver's prophetic views foretold in a comment over a year ago, I've been asked to be responsible for the booking at Mono full time. So I'm suddenly supposed to be in charge of every concert and happening at work from the 1st of may. It is not yet completely official, as we still need to negotiate wages and sign the contracts. Anyway this means I'm unable to spend that much time in the bar, and that could mean I might be able to get myself something close to a sleeping pattern. I've also been working on the By:Larm
project, but I'm starting to get short of time, so there'll be hellish amounts of phonecalls to do on the 27th, but I think I'll get there... I went to see the place in Trondheim on Tuesday the 12th, and it's huge! But me and Leo agreed on a plan to make it abit easier to acomplish, at least for me:) I also discovered this fabulous place at Svartlamoen called Ramp, with grand scrambled eggs and a pretty unstable net connection; think I found myself a local office while working with By:Larm....On the concert front it's been pretty busy, Accidents never happen, Ken Stringfellow & Jim Protector, Ungdomskulen, Quarter Past, dj-sessions with klubb pudding, Je'suis Animal, EPA, Remington Super 60, Wibutee, Samuel Jackson 5, Harry's Gym, In The Country and Shit City.
Happy Newyear!!!

Several...

...girls galore... I seem to have over-done it on the meat market... Kind of embarrasing actually... It all started out with this pretty fun sms-date-thingey, wich seemed to trigger some add-ons. I met this other girl at the same time. This other girl was a one night stand thingey, and it prooved we both agreed on this... The sms-thingey started to grow abit more frequent, wich was not intended. After our first date wich ended up too fast in the sack, I tried to spend time to get to know her, but it always seemed to go the "wrong" way. She has continued this weird skill of ending up at my place, even after I've thankfully declined me sleeping at her place, and she spending the night at my place... The reason is; she is an incredible kisser... Kind of hard to resist, espescially when you're tipsy. So I avoided her for two days, but, meanwhile, I suddenly managed to end up with a third girl, who I've know since the teens... And she seems pretty eager as well. Luckily she went on vacation to the philipines, so I'll get awhile to think this project over, but the sms-girl is still very eager, andI guess I'm not... Feeling like a pretty big dunghole but I have to meet her and tell her where things are standing at the moment. I have avioded it for two days, but I have made the appointment tonight... Not looking forward to it, and I guess I deserve a decent amount of beer all over...
Else concerts have been Love Is All, Sonberg/Rønbech, Lionheart Brothers, and Christer Knutsen and the Sacret Hearts. So in addition to work and all the "swinging" it's been pretty busy... Highlight was def Lionheart Brothers, with a fabulous drum/bass section!
Well, off to the shower and the hopefully-not-that-unpleasant dumping of the sms-girl....

I'm not....

...sure what to make of this, but I am actually working late nights with a guy who thinks I'm tiny and cute, and to top it; calls himself "Daysy". Spookey shit, or what mista B***e?
Anyhow, the concert-frequency have been kind of low since last post; two at Mono wich was decent enough; Rocket to the sky and Susanne Sundfør both from norway. Then I attended Badly Drawn Boy at Rockefeller, wich was kinda interesting as he delivered a pretty crappy performance, and still managed to be pompous and arrogant at the same time. He even stole some of the audiences beers on several occations and the he threw a mic-stand at a table where the victims of his thirst where sitting. And at song requests the frase; "yeah right, go fuck yourself!" came repeatedly... Nice fellow...
I've also been "pulled" into the arty-part of this years By:Larm, and it seems loads of work, so I hope I'm not above my head here. I'm supposed to give a lecture on graffiti, both history and my opinions on the matter... Spookey... I am also supposed to fill over 300 meters long, 3 meters high walls with different kinds of artworks... So that means I got over a thousand squaremeters huge "sandbox" to fill... And in addition I'm supposed to work as a journalist during the event, as I did last year; but thats the easy part. And I will get a hotelroom this time, I hope...
Else I tried this new date-thingey; sms-blind-dating of sorts... Well has been successful this far, the girl is neat and have a good taste in music, but on the other hand she's a bit too eager... Been trying to just meet and talk before anything more happens; but that has failed twice, wich is the same amount of times I've met the girl. She has this very clever way of ending up at myplace, despite the fact I have said no at both occations...

This...
The festival was called "En drøy uke", wich means something like "a bit more than a week" (ten days...., or a stretched week perhaps. Bands who where playing was; Next Life, Mi & L'au, Huntsville, Biologisk Helt Feil, Del, Rocket to the Sky, Dark Captain Light Captain, Mono, Syme, My Enemy, Alpine Those Myriads/The Severed Headmaster, Toy, Southern Alps, Captain Democracy, Bungalow Ranch Style, and The Thing...
Too many highlights to explain, but I got a few small stories from the week, that I might tell later:P

Cops dropped...
-Uh, did you have a visit from two of us earlier?
-No, we haven't had any cops here now.
-Oh, do you have any neighbours up here?
-Yeah off course, there are two doors in the hall, right?
-Uh, well... excuse us, then hehe... They utter pretty embarassed, as they leave for the guys next door...
What the fuck is this, they could at least have the courtesty to knock! Anyway half-an-hour later they drowe away with our neighbours. Have no idea what it was all about, as we had heard no noises the entire night...
Note to self; KEEP THE DOOR LOCKED AT ALL TIMES!
Tuesday I worked as band contact for Juliana Hatfield, wich was kind of weird as I had a totally crush on her when I was fourteen. Anyhow, the place where stuffed to the brim and she delivered grand for almost two hours. Some of the guys who was not familiar with her music stated it was kind of boring, but for old fans it seemed a grand experience as she played shitloads of old "hits" from the early nineties...Lately has been mostly working as handy-hunk in the backyard, where me, Njål and Terje has given it a pretty decent facelift, including a huge steel-construction in the middle. Else it has been planing a festival called "en drøy uke", wich starts on sunday. Gonna be 20 bands, 10 musicdocumentaries and 10 dj sets over 10 days. Hard work, but great fun:)

Fuck me...

...I started to read my entire blog, and realized how much I have neglected it... I started up trying to learn myself how to publish something on the internet, then I started writing a pretty detailed diary of sorts, and then it went into a summary off booze, girls, and concerts. How this process evolved just beneath my fingers I cannot explain, but then again how I suddenly happened to be in the current situation on a daily basis is likewise unexplainable... But off course I fell off and lost track at the same time as I stopped blogging and it all fell into a blurry fog that ought to be my life, the place I relax and where I am in charge. Well, suddenly that ain't a place anymore... My work and social life have melted together in some weird alchemical process I never had the recipe for. My artwork is somewhat important, but just as mere personal thingeys, it is no longer a thing I need/want recognition for, or a thing I want to share. It has changed to being introvert as hell, and nothing I want to exhibit; drawing shitloads of sketches for pictures I'll never make. Redraw and rethinking them untill the very idea of the final result is beyond boredom or interest... Spookey state of mind.... I can't feel the "itch" in my hands anymore, and that freaks me out!
But on the other hand; life is perfect! I got rid off my debts, living legally for the first time since I was like seventeen, less huzzle with authorities, and managing dailylife totally at ease; never a worry that ain't solveable... Have a social life I enjoy and can see as many concerts as humanly possible, but I still can't settle nor calm down, everything still has to be in high-tempo. The faster the better. I can't seem to get the image of myself into this, and at the same time I can't see myself without it. So total confusion on these shores, but thats probably what's been said already...
Anyhow up for the next summary of concerts I've attended since last post; Arab Strap, Samuel Tramp, Raymond & Maria, Mormones, M Ward, Bob Log III, Puma, Bladed, Sci-fi Skåne, Super Jupiter, Ida Maria, The Cables, Davy Jones Locker, The Flying Fellinis, Last to Remain, 21st Century Rox, Diary of a Lustful Turkey, Harmonica, Electric Ladyland, Keep of Kalessin, Imbalance, Max Midsun...

Bly me....

...it's suddenly October and fall has arrived big time, while I'm doing the daily routine of concerts, beer and other stuff that I should not be doing too much... Well, things have mainly been the same. Tried to take somewhat care of mom, but it has mainly been through phone, anyway she relaxes more and has stopped blaming herself, wich is good... I also got myself rid of a couple of stupid debts from my youth; my, I'm starting to grow up:O. And that is kind of scary...
List of concerts; Blood on the wall, Dead moon, Jeff hanson, Amusement parks on fire, Magnus eliassen, backbeat people, monzano, hope I die virgin, sally suicide, pirate love, sgt petter, fionn regan, johnny hide, camera obscura, popium, swamp babies, kirsten ketsjer, ida maria, cobra kai, ane brun, nina kinert, doug hoextra, serena maneesh, maria solheim, the core, the moods, camaros, +++ as far as I can recall...

Hung-over like...

...hell, as I try to shrug some of the headache away with too hot coffe, and get the nausea somewhat stable with to many cigarettes. "Amusementparks on fire"'s on the stereo singing there's too much future... Last two weeks everythings been upside-down, and with total opposite events. My brothers funeral and being with the family, and on the other hand the annual Öya festival with too much drinkin'. I haven't been to work for almost two weeks either, wich is somewhat wierd, and that comes from me who used to be a lazy slacker for ages... Anyhow, it's nice to be back doing something, it keeps the mind from some of the sad thoughts, and avoid me from getting stuck in "sausagewood"(I'll explain further...).
Tuesday 8th; This years festival kicked off with Subs, a very good Chineese punk-rock band. The gig was awesome, thogh you could not understand a word she was saying, nor singing for that matter... Only had a few beers, and went home early, as we were going to have a memorial at the hospital-chapel pretty early in the morning...
Wednesday; Went to see my brother, or what used to be my brother, for the last time. It was kind of nice, and he seemed so calm. When he was declared dead he were still breathing artificially on a machine, and they kept his heart running as well, so now it was easier to fetch that he actually passed away.
After talking to my mother for awhile, I went to work, where there were several bands on the stage; Ingrid Olava, Monomen, Moonpedro and the new farm street orchestra, White lord jesus, Sirka ragnar, and New Violators. I wasn't really in the mood for standing in a crowd for hours, so I ended up with a little piece of each band, and a pretty big piece of drinkin in the backyard, wich is nice as well.
Thursday was my only dedicated Öya-day. I started out by missing "the Loch Ness Mouse"- concert, but managed to see most of the "!!!"'s gig. Then I went for the days highlight "Band of Horses". The band delivered grand, but I had some trouble focusing. After that I hooked up with Øystein and Mette, as it was raining cats and dogs, we just sought shelter awating the Motorpsycho concert. Avoiding to get soaked I got a pretty decent place right next to the sound tower, wich ought to be the best place to get a good concert-experience. But, alas, the sound was total crap, and you could hardly hear the guitar. What planet the sound engineer came from I can hardly guess... The band deliverd despite the fact that the guitar-sound was totally fucked...The night ended back at Mono, abit too late as there was this funeral the next morning...
The funeral was nice, and almost 450 people attended. The Priest was also decent, for a priest... She didn't make too much fuzz about god, g-zuz, and all that bible crap. That was kept to a minimum. The speech was more focused on what my brother had got a chance to do, and not the fact that he was disabled and never managed to do alot of things. There where no psalms, but only songs my brother have grown up with, and one he made himself while in hospital. The last one I think would embarass him like shit, but he loved to pull pranks on people, so he'ld probably laugh... After the burial we went to a community house for pizza and coffee, it was kind of weird as 200 of the people at the funeral came along. Shitloads of faces I haven't seen for decades, telling stories from my earliest days, kids I used to babysit when I was like 12, were suddenly grown ups, and had younger grown up siblings as well. With such a crowd of relatives, and "ghosts" from the past, I was really happy that Lasse Spang were there as well, so I could run away from boring conversations, reapeating the same blurbs after the other, and I got to talk to the ones I felt talking to.
After that the closest family and friends of both my brother's parrents went to his dad, and I went to the festival. Not that I'm such a cynical bastard, but his father is a dunghole. We have never been good friends, and since I've been a kid I thought him as an asshole. Fortunately I don't have to tell him that anymore, he knows for sure. My brother has been the only reason for us to meet occationally during the last 13 years, but then, in respect for my brother, we have both stepped down. So it has been a small "cold war", wich in my eyes finally are over, as we don't have to meet eachother again...
When arriving back on the city, I went for a beer at work, and met Terje and Gunnar, a co-worker. I was planning to get out of the suit before going to the festival, but as time was running out, Gunnar talked me into fetching a cab and attend "The Cramps"'s gig, wich was very good indeed. It was pretty weird, first off in a suit and tie, and then taking a cab for a festival; both seems extremely not a thing I would do. After that I went back for a few beers and fell to sleep for ages.
Saturday's concerts was "midlake", wich was very nice, then I met up with some guys from work and sat by the shore drinking some beers while Yoko Ono was playing in the background. I saw a bit of Beck, wich was kind of disappionting as I've seen him so much better before. The evening all went into a fog, and I woke up at fuckin 7 o'clock in the morning.
On sunday I was back working again, we had this after festival party, and was going to show "the cramps - live from napa state mental hospital" from 1978, and then a secret surprice concert with "young fogertys". Last was an ad-hoc coverband playing CCR covers, but it was alot harder and they didn't just play the "ordinary" hits. A very loud, but pleasant experience.
Monday and tuesday was opening shift in the bar, some drinking and some co-conspiracy/planning discussion about next year by:larm festival. As it looks I'm supposed to asstist on the visual part of the festival area. It'll be hard but fun work as it is both in an old squatted part of trondheim called "svartlamoen", and an old military submarinebase....

It's hard...

Well, at last...

...I've settled in my new home, and it feels insanely good. All I need is a new bed, but I'm not in a hurry on that one. Yesterday morning was kind of funny as I was awoken by a cop standing in my room, yelling that I was supposed to know why they were there, but , alas, I didn't... Fucking prick then told me to get dressed and bring identification-papers. What the fuck, I thought, pretty sure that this meant I had to go with them to the police-station, and for what?!? I had no idea. So out of bed and my bedroom, I discover that there are one more of them hazzeling my new flatmates as well, yelling and trying to push one of them down on his bed, as he is asking them for a permit to enter our home. The asshole then answers they tried to knock, and besides they had the right to be there as we were accused of destruction of property. Well, I hadn't destroyed anything I was aware off... Then the reason for the not very pleasant surprize visit surfaced; someone had thrown an egg(!), on a concrete wall(!) across the street... It's reassuring to know that they take care of the neighbourhood, and at least you got to love their judgement on priorities. Fuckin noobs!

Damned, I can't...
As for the events from last post;
Issue #2 and #3; Well, I'll put them together, as they are somewhat related... I awoke on one monday morning, remembering that there had been some serious business going on with a girl I should not be doing anything romantical with at all, and went to work with my nerves up the throat. After talking to my boss over the net, he meant I only was supposed to take 4 fernets a day to avoid such things in the future... I should have listened... Later that night me and a guy called Terje (a regular at work) met these two girls, who were attending a conference for people in the jewelry(!) business, and so too pissed to actually notice I suddenly happened to be in a hotelroom at the western part of town (that is like the rich-man area of the close to the citycentre...) waking at the sound of an alarmclock at seven o'clock in the morning... Shrug! So totally hung over I fled the scene and went to work. As I thought I was sending this message "Godammit! Drank 5 fernets and woke up totally hung over with a jewelry-shop-owner from Molde in a fucking hotelroom on fucking Frogner..." to my boss, I suddenly got this mocking message from a national radiostation-reporter telling me I've probably send it wrong, but thanks for the up-date... The day after I managed to wake up at my place, with the very same girl... I hate black-outs... After trying to sort up my nerves (off course with more Fernet) I managed to wake up with a third girl the next day, and the day after...
The issue with this is that I hardly ever have one-night stands, or get picked up very often, so I'll blame it on the job. What is it with girls and why are they falling like that for guys who can make decisions? Not to be sexist, but as soon as I was in charge, I've been hit on at least four times than normal, and thats somewhat spookey...
Anyhow it's been a pretty eventful month, shitloads of work, but it's a pretty grateful job; making parties and concerts for others to enjoy, and I enjoy myself... Last times concerts been Twinklehead, Cochise, Popgun, Oddpop, Nordgaarden, The Thirteenth Son, Sally Suicide, Asbury park, Ladybug Transistor, I Was a King, and Great Lakes.
Hopefully I'll get the moving business done with during next week...

ok, I'll...
- Summertime; parkdays and implications because of that...
- The curious incident involving waking up in a hotel-room at the west side, totally fucked up and managing to report it to the press by mistake.
- Stories from the meatmarket; yes, girls give you loads of attention when your making decisions... Wich leads to even more decisions....
- Me being too indie to attend this years Roskilde festival, and going to Estonia instead
- Shitloads of drinking... Such a surprise!
- Shitloads of working... Somewhat kind of a surprise... but I even got myself new technical tools to play with.
- Personal economy gets fucked, while I am actually earning more than usual....
- Music fest and everything went smooth...
- Fucking up big time, this time litterary...
- Eating should be for someone else.
Highlight was definently Pia Fraus from Estonia. The weather was perfect, so instead of the ordinary buyout, me and Børge took them to Sofienbergparken for a bbq and beers. Almost 30 degrees in the shadow and tons of fresh fish on the grill, and topping it with a case of ice-cold brown ones made the day. The consert was really grand as well, and the small audience seemed to have a great time.
Well, I need to come back to last months events as soon as you've chosen your subjects.... Cheers!

Neglecting this...
- My boss has left the country, wich means he left me in charge for over a month and a half...
- I've aquired this addiction of moving, so I'm going to move again!
- My net connection at my current dwelling is fucked, and haven't cared fixing the problem as I decided I'm not gonna stay there...
It's not that I'm so found of carrying cases and heavy lifting, but I got an offer I was unable to resist. The new place is loced on Grünerøkka, about 200 meters from my current flat, but it's HUGE. It's over 140 squaremeters, with 2 balconys and 2 fireplaces on the top floor!!! AND it'll only cost me 600,- more than my current rent, wich means 3800,- (475 EURO). Now I also know the people I'm going to live with, and we are all working at venues. Rock'n'roll collective:)
The flat is located at the far left corner in this building...
Else there has off course been several concerts since the 4th. The Goo Men, Tina Dico, Jake Ziah, Cortney Tidwell, Howie Beck, The Smalltown Ramblers, The Kulta Beats, Rumble in Rhodos, The Jessica Fletchers, The Moods, The Funky Hot Grits, and The Captain and Me.

Mayday celebrations...
Event#2 Ransacked, or just paranoia?
During eastern I moved my stuff out off the old studio, well all the important stuff, as some of it is still in there, and started making a new nest in my new flat. My old roommate was touring Germany and Holland, so no one was at home in the late eastern. As my studio looked like a ransacked dunghole in the first place, I didn't notice any changes untill Robin asked me what had happened. -No, what do you mean? Someone had gone through all of his letters, thrown everything from drawers and boxes on the floor, and it proved to be the same in Tommy's room. I found out that my room had faced the same treatment. But the grand mystery; nothing missing! There were everything from cash, passports, 15 computers, 3 laptops, and different valuable technical devices easy to steal. A couple of thousand cd's, dvd's, computergames, artworks, instruments, and so on; all easy things to sell. But nada, nothing gone... First thought was the police, but what officer would do that so fucking badly, leaving traces all over. Didn't they have a warrant and bad time because of the lack of one? There where even drugs down there, still untouced... It could hardly be a burglar, he could have had a joyous time in there, and earned a living til late summer... Neither a junkie, at least he would take the cash, and the drugs... So why the hell did someone brake into the studio, and what the fuck where they looking for?
Event #7; Insane joboffer
Belive it or not; I was not asked to be president, but to do the scenography on a full length movie. The guy who asked me has worked on several tv-shows as produser etc, and I've done a couple of things with him during the years. The insane part was that he offerd a sallary of 80.000NOK a month!!! That means 10.076 euros or12.686 usdollars a month!!! So, if all works out I'm gonna be filthy stinkin rich:) I've calculated that if I spend the same amount I spend today, I'll be economically independent and shake all the evil wicked creditors off my back within three months:)
Anyhow, summer is here with over 20 degrees and I'm definently going out to the park to get fucked up and tanned all over... Cheers!!!

I need a shovel/Moving blues! AAhh!
I'm totally in panic dreaming about a shovel and a magic bottomless bag to throw all my belongings in, sling it on my back and stroll downtown to fetch the key for my new appartment, carrying the stuff I wish I had bought on ikea last week to make my new nest somewhat inhabital. Instead of attending shitloads of concerts and trying to find out if that bottle containing fernet branca tastes different from the other bottle that contained the very same, wich is exactly what I've done the last week. Except for working though. The point is I havent packed a thing. So I'm doing the cleverest thing possible at the moment; wasting both your and my time with this blog....This weeks concerts have been; Ladytron, sex beat, the school, bonk, the giljotines, autotune, tina dico, and one more wich I'm too stressed out to remember, hehe (that means i'm posting too seldom, shame shame..). And the rest have been workin and drinking.... Damned, got to set priorities and focus on moving. That is gonna be hard as next weeks concerts are, according to plan; girl from saskatoon on monday, youth pictures of florence henderson tuesday, wednesday is stars, and holly golightly on friday. Hopefully I get to squeeze in a visit to ikea in the meanwhile...

I finally...
Wednesday, March 22, 2006
wow, it's "early"...

...morning and I've awaken, risen from bed, and now even trying not to neglect my blog! Pretty braindead, but amazingly fit. Yesterday was slow and nice. Cleaned up some light-tech mess at work, and after dinner on fyret I ended up on the zoom-06 concert at garage with Øystein and Terje. Although I didn't see much of the concerts it was a pretty decent night out, and I managed to get home straight from garage(!). Giving my credit-card house-arrest seems like a pretty good idea after all; and from now on I'll treat it hellish with monthly groundings:)
The search for a new home is starting to get fruitful, had the rumor out on town wich has resulted in a few offers. As this is kind of nice, as it's kinda hard finding housing here at times, I'm realizing if I'm gonna be able to get my stuff with me I'll need to pay a pretty (after my standards) "high" rent. So this guy needs to make a budget:O Damned, I've managed to act pretty irresonsible for 29yrs, and now this aera seems gone. It'll be the first time I live somewhere legally since I was 19, if I'm not able to make a new scheme in a month... hmm, gotta twitch my head on this one. Legal housing could be described in other words; I'm gonna have to start, at least pretend, being an adult...

It's amazing...
After that Low frequency in stereo was playing. A very good (indie)-rock band from norway. As I was working in the bar, it was kind of hard to follow the concert as much as I wanted, but they are playing at Blå on the 1st of april.
Then about two'o'clock things turned weird; an african guy so drunk he poured he's beer over his head trying to blame some mysterious guy disappearing into the lavy, then tried to steal a new beer from another guest, so I told him he had to go, and followed him to the back entrance. Then he turns around and I expected a quarrel for throwing him out, he gives me a huge hug! After that a guy from my high-school days, was totally and utterly out on booze and something else, starts to make himself the next get-the-hell-out-of-here target. Then at the same time, a guy I used to know, now a junkie, falls in through the door utterly wasted falling half-unconcious while eating pizza. After he's tossed out, this guy from high-school makes a number again. So a few diplomatic attempts wich prooved to fail and another girl falling around too drunk, me and Merete had to take care of one each. Man, I should check my connections, why do I know all these people? Then there's suddenly some noise from the mensroom (its about two squaremeters in total...) and I find five guys in there, two in a fight on the floor. How the heck is that possible?!? It's to small to be four guys in there, and how they managed this is a mystery to me. After a few secs we had them parted and got them out one after another...Gotta head for some breakfast....
oh, no...

This mean machine...

...called me has been on high speed and total overdrive; wich means again no posting in about a week (thanks for reminding me bunny george). So, now its tuesday morning and almost sober, in a weird turning into hung-over mode I'll try to summarize last week. Not an easy task as there has been loads of stuff going on...
Monday 27th; Tilly and the wall
Some how pretty shaked up after cleaning out all my childhood stuff at mom's and then the very spookey concert (still not able to find any of it on the net, dcver), I went to Mono to grab a beer. As I met up with Njål and Gunnar, I suddenly remembered that Tilly and the wall was playing at rock bottom, a very nice indie-pop band from the states. So me and Njål went to the gig. The band had no drummer, but used a stepper instead, wich were placed on a podium next to the two female singers. This was the first concert where the band hadn't been the support band, and after abuot 30 mins they seemed pretty insecure on what to do, but they played a full hour, and it was great! You can check their own blog here, and listen to their songs over here. And my favorite "nights of the living dead". The band was supposed to play at mono but there had been some double booking, and the band ended up on the "wrong" stage, in my oppinion...
Tuesday 28th; Ornand Altenburg
Working as band contact for Ornand Altenburg Trio, a pretty good band, but not entirely up my alley, so I wont write about them. Afterall a nice evening without the huge events.... Man this part became boring:)
Wednesday 1st; My first day as booking guy and Beezewax on stage
As my boss (the one doing the booking) has left for a festival in Canada, I was supposed to step in and do the stuff he usually does. It suddenly occured to me why the guy is allways busy on some phone or mail, and now I became this guy. Hundreds of small details production and tour managers are concerned about, fixing everything to get the concerts going, loads of info and deals wich at least has two or three other guys involved, and making sure that stuff is being done. After two days I'd spend more time on the phone than I usually do in a month... This night was a showcase for Beezewax, a kind of emoish pop band wich has existed for years with different constallations. The concert went well except the start where I suddenly had to be at three places at the same time; the stage, behind the lights, and fetching guys who was supposed to be on stage. With the place filled to the brim, it was a pretty improbable project, but after the concert both the band and audience seemed pretty pleased. My credit card at work exceeds 600NOK...Thursday 2nd; Johnossi, Serena Maneesh, and I hate guitar amps,
This day started out with the band coming to early, this was no problem as I started ealier as well. After a coffee the band was asking for beer; at last some real rockers! (Lately the artists haven't even drunk up the beercase brought to their dissposal...). Johnossi, a very loud swedish duo, proved to be really nice guys as we sat around waiting for the guitar amp, chit-chating about this and that. When the amp finally came, it prooved, after half an hour to be of no use; no reverb... So I had to fetch another asap. I finally got hand on one wich arrived about 5 mins too late to have an ordinary soundcheck, and this also prooved to be worthless to the guitarist, so about four I finally got a suitable amp. After that the band played smooth, but loud as hell. Check it out here. So, as if that wasn't enough ear-beating, serena maneesh was playing at John Dee, the concert was sold out, but I managed to get a pass from Eivind in the twelveth hour:) I my eyes the band delivered grand, but the sound was too low, so it lost some of the aspects of that beatuful noise. The light "show" was total crap, Two of the bandmembers didnt even get a ray of light during the entire concert. After that I had to finish up at work, and taste some of that fernet branca.... My creditcard exceeds 1000NOK....Friday 3rd; Total day off...(almost)
Played "office at home" a few hours to sort out next week, and then got lost in the world of warcraft. Not a toenail outside the door:)
Staurday 4th; uh....
Whatever happened on saturday, I think I need help to remember... Think I hit town a bit too early...
Sunday 5th; Insanely tired, and moving mom
Damned, I had serious difficulties sleeping last night. Dead broke and tired as fuck I was going out to nesodden to help my mom pack her stuff. She's into a really heavy depression as she has sold her house and is moving to an appartment on the other side of the peninnsula. We managed to do quite a bit, but what is frightening is that she's throwing everything away. It's kind of weird; old stuff that have been in the familly for centuries, and she suddenly don't want them anymore. Even some of the things my Grand(x3)grand father built in the 18th century. I know she wants a "fresh" start from my used-to-be stephfather, but why getting rid of this other things. Even an old cabinet she has had in her room/home since birth. Though I lack the room for them, I had to bring them home, just to take care of them. So I'm twisting and turning my home trying to make some room... I really like the things, but I think it's some strange behaviour from mom, and I can't get rid of the thought that something is wrong. I know she concidered suicide before, but that was during some turbulent period about ten years ago, and then we talked about it. Now she's got a new job she likes, enjoys being a grandmother to my niese, have a more active social life than the last 20 years, and it seems everything is heading for the better, but I still got this uneasy feeling...
Monday 6th; Opening at work wonder wether tonights artist will show up
Got some amounts of sleep, actually almost twelve hours. Dreamed shitloads of weird stuff after the packing session yesterday. So pretty tired from too much sleep, I opened at work, wich prooved to be a slack one. Not even a rush before nine. Geoff Berner, the whiskey rabbi, was playing. After being unable to reach him to agree on soundcheck times, and stuff, I still havent spoken to him when the clock past nine... So when I was about to call up Mir and ask if he was there drinkin whiskey, he finally arrived to deliver a grand show:) By now my creditcard has got itself house-arrest throughout the month for intollerable and abusive behaviour...
Today; Playing "home office" again
Had a slow start, sorting out some booking details, and discovering some new skills my mailaccout claim to have achieved. A slight headache after yesterdays concert. Anyhow, I'm tired of writing, and have to clean up after re-furnishing the home...

decided not to...

...blogg while drunk, and I'm doing it again... (viking; I totally agree on your latest comment so I withdrew the whole statement as I was drunk and got upset over the news when I came from town; I totally agree with you... Thats the censorship...but I still need a good illustration for my point...)
Today has been quite a day; I worked untill like five this morning, drank untill eight, took the boat to my mom and slept for four hours untill awakened by a shovel of snow being tossed into my bed by my younger brother, with my elder brother grinning in the background. The occasion was that my mother is moving these days, and we had to come along to clean up her loft; or rather being part of what to throw and what to keep since like we where born. A pretty weird experience, as memories I've filed under "temp files" or "deleteable once", came along with the amusement of loads of nice things I've just filed wrong during the years and really want to keep and bring with me further in life. I managed to be somewhat strict as I ended up with one box; half memories and half useable stuff. It was a pretty demanding experience no matter what...
After that I went to another chapter in the "pönk" series at work. It's not punk, but jazz we are talking about. As I lost the first part of the concert with Håkon Kornstad Solo, I came just as the first song of Anders Hana/Per Zanussi/Morten Qvenlid started. I couldn't quite follow the concert untill the second "song", so I think I lost abit, but the concert was perfect for today, and even weirder than unpacking and sorting all my childhood memories. The trio played experimental noise, I thought, but after a while a pattern seemed to merge, and I got the impression that they wanted it to sound like casual jamming and incidents, but after listening I got one clear view, I don't know if the musicians agree with it, but I think they have really spend time studying this. This is probably coloured by my childhood flash backs earlier today, but;
- I think these guys went back to the entertainment industry in total; music, movies and computer games.
- I think these guys went way back to find both their amusements and fun as kids, as well as what scared the shit out of them.
- I think they combined point 2 very delibrately, to create some hell of scary shit.
The songs, or rather numbers, played was filled with scary sounds and, at times, tunes from horror movies(they didn't rip these), but it sounded like the sum of all nightmares I had after watching movies from childhood, but then again, I might be coloured by todays events. Then they suddenly turned this over into a cacaphony of what may sound like standing in the coolest game-arcade in the late eighties/early ninties hearing all the sounds at the same level (the bass was playing the shooting games, some flipper machine was at work, and at the same time the organ was plaing nintendo or anything else like supermario, while there was some "game over"-like, sad soundtrack underneath), then to suddenly switch into somehing that sounded like an old cassette-tape unable to play, sounding like something played backwards, just to turn over into a total scary experience again... Experiencing the shining, the ring, and the grudge, while watching white noise and dreaming of my childhood wet-dream of disneyland; all at the same time... Exelent and scary!

met that...

...blind-dategirl again yesterday, or she seeked me out at work... Øystein knocks on my shoulder and says that make-out-girl of yours wanna talk to you. Totally smashed with whiskey all over, as a hole bottle had leaked in her purse, she just say hi, and stares for a while, before stating she wants to make out(!). I give her a hug and try to explain -hey, I'm at work here and you are totally smashed out. But she wont listen, and tries to make out, so escaping her attempt and trying to talk to her, she just kept on...I suddenly had shitloads of important tasks to do in uttermost haste. How am I supposed to react to that?!? Hopefully she won't remember, or she'll have serious nerves today. This "thing" is getting weirder every time I see that girl, haha!
Anyhow, at last, I required myself a functional sewing-machine again. So I'm hopefully able to patch some of my worn out clothes, and sew some new ones. It's about time since half my wardrobe is stuck in tromsø since by:Larm and the rest could really use some stiches...

It seems I've got...
...to find a new housing scheme. Got a little white envelope on the door the other day telling us that we have not rented this place as a home but as a studio... Kind of weird since we rented it for the last five years or so. The letter was kind of split, so I'm not sure if the actually want us to move out, or if they just want to make a formal statement as to write of their responsibility if something should happen. The weird part was that the letter started and ended with how happy they were about us renting the place, then a point that the ventilation had to be on at all times (wich it is...) so cigarette smoke wouldn't go upstairs... Then the little point on housing, and then again a thingey on how satisfied they were with us as tenants. Not sure where they are heading with this, but we might as well start looking for something new (and both they and us know that they are gonna have a hell of a time finding new tenants) as it is pretty tireing living with a may-happen-or-not eviction hanging over our heads. Anyhow, if anyone know of a suitable studio, preferably with shower and kitchen and at least two rooms for a decent amount, please give a whistle...
Friday was a pretty calm day at work, as the Peter Berry & The Shake Set were playing. Another one of those retro-sixties bands, wich seems to be the thing these days. Not my cup of tea, but Petter and Beatles wore huge grinns.... The place was stuffed, but the crowd was more up to dancing than pushing us around behind the bar. No huzzle, no nada, and a decent tip:)
Saturday was KP's 30th birthday, so I went to the birthdayparty at Taxi takeaway wich is, as opposed to the name, a new and rather good "punkish" or rather "underground" place. The name is taken from the old kebab-kitchen, and perhaps it's just easier to keep than making a new one, or even making a new sign. Nice party with loads of people I rarely see anymore. I also, at last, got to meet Erlend's "new" girlfriend wich was nice as well...
Kobert, a jazzband formed at the music-academy in trondheim, was playing on sunday. There was quite an audience as there had been no advertisement in advance, and the band seemed happy. At times the music seemed playful, and every now and then it went over into Björk territory, and then returned into more standard jazz. The band were solid musicians and delivered good, only bad is that, in my eyes, it got boring at times, but that singer was totally gorgeous... Drool.Anyhow, put up some new songs from monodelica, and then added some below, enjoy!
- Pretty girls make graves; "the nocturnal house" from élan vital wich is released on april the 11th.
- Mates of state; "fraud in the 80's" from this years bring it back album
- The diggs; "trouble everyday" from last decembers Orange

Wow, its been...
This time it was by:Larm in Tromsø, loads of bands, loads of more or less known faces,
some food and loads of beer. The highlight, for my part was Animal Alpha, wich I saw two times, meeting Richard Hell (television, Richard Hell and the voidoids), The white birch, and ping. The program was filled with concerts I didn't managed to attend as I was working for the festival newspaper, so I had pretty much to reach over during the evenings. But on the other hand, it was good to have something to hang my fingers on; else it might have been shorter evenings; drinking beer too fast and early topping it with some fernet branca and swoothc out into nowhere... And , just an advice; It's very clever to have a proper housing arrangement (or at least a half desent one and batteries on your cell phone) in advance going to a "city-festival", espescially in wintertime... This festival in Tromsø has been the best festival I've attended in a city centre, Tromsø is small, but still has a huge amount of pubs and scenes in a fairly small area, it tok about a 5 min. walk between the two most distant stages. And be sure to have good time for airport security if you have to transport a 35cm plexi-glas sylinder with loads of wire and something that looks like a detonation device in your backpack insisting on bringing it inside the cabin:)Ok, I'll try to summarize from last sunday;
- Sunday 5th; Well, was pretty hung over from work, abit tired and pretty curious on who
it was I had agree to date on the Death cab concert. So after a Fernet and a beer I went over to Rockefeller, and met up with Børge, and... of course a perifere friend of both my ex and a friend of my flatmates ex! Haha, not a big city:) So as that was kind of not gonna happen, but it was a decent concert (I've had a few difficulties in actually likeing the band, something is very good, but there is a hatch somewhere...), and after we drank some whiskey at cacadou, and ended up sneaking in front of the line at work. Afterall a nice evening. - Monday 6th; As I didn't attend the heroes for zeroes concert, and nothing really happened this day I'll clear up the note to self about not stealing a ladder
before dateing, from the last post. This was my first blind-date, and happened a week before I started blogging I think. Anyhow, this date was like a return favour for a friend who had been on a date with a friend of this girl, so I was supposed to meet her at an indian resturant at eight o'clock or something. Then half past seven, I suddenly get a call from ----- informing me that there is a ladder located ----- , and that I should fetch it and bring it to Blitz as we needed a ladder there the next day; or I needed a ladder to finish some outside decoration's I had been coordinating while barricading the building... Anyhow, after being over 45mins late, and the girl just sending people in front of her in the resturant line for a while I arrived with the very bad excuse; "sorry I'm late, but I had to steal a ladder first..." - Tuesday 7th; I was working as band contact for the swedish version of Ane Bun; Nina Kinert. The day was pretty calm, and to everybodys big surprice the concert actually drew about 80-100 people. Not bad as loads of people in the audience had never even heard of her before...
- Wednesday 8th; This day started out pretty slow, but went pretty eventful during
the evening. The Cheaters, The Jessica Fletchers and The Goo Men was playing, and I was working as band contact. As for the last band mentioned, this can be a pretty hazzardious, not to mention fun, experience. After rescuing the band from some self-made deathtraps by removing empty glasses and other impliments of destructions from the stage, leadsinger Arnt almost succeeded in his second attempt to demolish a light bulb over the bar, and I had to run like hell to recover the instruments Gunnar had forgot to bring on stage. Sorry, to The Jessica Fletchers; I owe you a tamburine:) - Thursday 9th; Woke up with the phone, realizing I had 5 mins to pack, before picking
up THE by.Larm price. I was supposed to bring the sculpture itself, as it had failed to get to Tromsø earlier, and so this guy who's gonna hand it over called to tell me he was abit late; perfect! So luckily, as Goo men's taxi was set to arrive 15mins later than expecpted, I managed to get myself to the airport in time. Pretty fucked up after a few beers and 3 hours sleep I went to the security gate, with the contents of my bag looking like a pretty sophisticated terrorist wetdream. After some very long cheeks and pretty disturbings signals from the guys surveilancing the x-ray machine, I was taken aside to take of my shoes and opening the parcel while thoroughly explaining what it was, I was able board. After arriving Tromsø, checked in, and assigned the concerts I was reveiwing that night, I suddenly sat in some kind of vacum. Not being able to get my luggage to the place I was sleeping, and with everyone else busy or laxing, I felt totally "lost in translation", just hanging around killing time, unable to rest. So after about five hours of wandering the very small citycentre, tasteing some mackøl(beer) at blårock (a very nice rockclub, with one of the greatest poster-collections ever!!!), I finally got started. I was reviewing Draumir, some popish thingey ala Velvet Belly and Ellysian Fields in a more modern wrapping. Then I was at The captian and me; undescribeable hill-billy thingey meets all kinds of folk music, and at the end Ping, who is a cascade of modern music history from Mike patton, via country to pantera; say no more. Finally in about 02.00 I managed to get to bed, somewhat tired I guess... - Friday 10th; Got up pretty early, and attended a meeting at one on what to do during the day; I got assign on Quasimojo, Animal Alpha, Brut Boogaloo, and The Fernets. This, at first looked pretty rough as animal alpha started at 2300, brut boogaloo on a different stage at 23.30 and the fernets on the other side of the city centre at 00.00. And then there was deadline at 01.00! Whats a boy supposed to do? So
I took it pretty slack untill I got this phonecall from our editor telling me I had an hour to prepare for an interview with Richard Hell at Rica hotel. -With who?!? -Richard Hell, from Television, and Richard Hell and the voidoids... -Uh, ok... The only worse thing to interview, hung over without having breakfast yet, would have been Thurston Moore and me giggeling like a 14 year old girl... Anyhow, the guy seemed really nice, and not very eager to talk about music at all. He rather wanted to talk about how much religion sucked, and loads about his writing.... Rest of day went smooth, and the Animal Alpha concert was this festivals highlight:) - Saturday 11th; Woke up under the desk in our press office, with a hotel-maid asking if I could move so she
could clean up. Totally bewildered I got to my feet trying to gain concious; after copeing I remembered that I was unable to reach my "host" after a pretty decent nachspiel in one of the hotelrooms with a bottle of cognac and three cases of beer... Shrug! Anyhow saturday was our day off, so it was slacking at blårock all day until The White Birch went on stage at the VG-tent in the central square. Grand concert! After that I went down to see Animal Alpha again, great this time as well, before heading to the lobbybar to celebrate our accomplished newspaper project; free bar this time! After that it all went more blurry, I saw a few concerts, tried to reach the guy I was sleeping at, and.... total blank.... - Sunday 12th; Deja-vu; woke up under the desk in our press office, with
a hotel-maid (the very same from yesterday!) asking (somewhat more asstonished than last morning) if I could move so she could clean up, but then changeing her mind stateing she could do it later, and asking if I knew how long we would use the offices. -Uh, I utter trying to cope agian; -actually I don't... Discovering that I didn't know how I got there at all. The rest of the day went on trying to get my stuff from my host's appartment, but after a few hours and still no luck I decided to resign this project and spend the day laxing at blårock, with some nice baguettes and beers, awaiting my evening flight....

yesterdays...

...concert was really cozy, perhaps with the exception of christian trying to freak out the band by shouting nazi-band and so on (hehe:P). I think they delivered great, especially towards the end. Sadly they havent come out with any albums yet, but "wolves" will be out 18. of march, and you can listen to some of it here.
Else as the cartoon-war continues both danish and norwegian embassy in syria have been torched of and burned to the ground, in copenhagen there have been clashes between moslem kids and the police as neo-nazis burned the koran and had a demonstration on the outskirts of the danish capital. There have also been several left wing demonstrations against the nazis...
Else I'm supposed to go on this date tomorrow, but I don't know who it is I am dateing. Børge has set up a scheme on his own initiative, so I have no idea whatsoever. Only know I am going to meet up with her before the death cab for cutie consert, and that she knows who I am(spookey). Well, it'll probably be amuseing enough:) My last blinddate (also the first one) was kind of fun, so hopefully this will be too, anyway I'm gonna try to be in time for this one....
Note to self; must not steal ladder half an hour before dateing....

I'm sorry...

..., but I have to disappoint you, can't find that cd booklet anywhere (I've actually searched!), so Instead Ill give you two other neat pics of seventeen year old me as both bunnyjo and martin seemed so eager:P
Else the case of the infamous drawings of the great prophet is reaching further and further; tens of thousands demonstrating, bombings, storming of scandinvian embassies and burning of both danish and norwegian flags... I don't find other guys burning "our" flag provoking, the most disturbing is the stupidity of the norwegian "paper" behind this hammock. At least the danish paper have appologized, while these pricks just continues as the editor has gone for this holy crusade for freedom of speech. At the same time he wants more strict blasphemy laws to prevent people from mocking christendom.... Can somebody invent a timemachine for these people, and a freeride back to the dark medieval times where their view of the world might seem more righteous and common?
Yesterday was a pure pleasure at work, though I was quite tired after the extreemly exhausting lightrunning on wednesday:) Everything went smooth, no huzzle, no nada... The concert was also decent fun, and the audience wore huge grins. Think I'll check them out at bylarm as well... Tonight My latest novel is playing at Garage, never heard the band but as they are compaired with arab strap and belle & sebastian, it sounds like something I don't wanna miss...

Lost my virginity...

...as a light technitian (is that the proper title?) yesterday, while getting beyond drunk... There was a tribute-concert to Townes Van Zandt, with loads of good artists on the stage. As I opened the bar, and had a pretty calm and easy shift, I was asked if I could run the lights under the concert for free beer; Weee!!! So after two fernet branca (one for each foot) and a beer the concert started... As I had planned pretty decent in advance, I had brougth with me 2 beers, and where fit for a two hours of small zipping and trying out how it would be to run the lights. But as the concert went on, the guys in the bar brought me more and more to drink, so after a couple of more beers in an advancing tempo, I managed to drink myself completely deranged... Hmmm... perhaps intence beerdrinking and actually working isn't one of my greater skills after all:)
Tuesday was really slow, I ended up on garage with frode, martin, alex and christian. It was pretty calm, but really nice as I havent seen Frode and Martin for ages... Anyhow, a pretty weird thing happened; A girl, wich went a couple of years under me on high school, comes over with a huge grin and a cd-booklet with a picture of 17 year old me giving the finger. I had forgot it even existed... But it was kind of weird that she actually went around with it 13years after the extreemely crappy album came out. Result; me totally blushing and everybody else had an insane laugh... Well, pleased to bring you amusement, hehe
Well, tonight is Smalltown ramblers, a norwegian rockabilly band. The title from their first album says it all; "trucks, trains, and evil women"...

Having a slow lo-fi monday over here with television personalities on the stereo singing about this girl with the magical ability of stopping traffic... In the media Denmark and Norway is making headlines all over the globe and riots in Gaza after some fucked up "news"paper pulled a stunt on the oh so holy muhammad. The danish news paper invited a handful of artist to draw some pictures of the prophet, wich made some hammock, then this close to fascist christian-fundamentalist "news"paper(they are against abortion, highly pro Israel, and anti anything that does not fit in their very narrow view of the world) publishes the same drawings to provoke. Hopefully the aggression towards norwegians in the middle east will wipe out the paper's own offices and not some of the ideal organisations actually working with aiding civilians in palestine and other arab countries....
Yesterday was a pretty weird one. It started off with a few hours on wow, with øyvind on his laptop, trying to get rid of a slight hangover from saturday. This project seemed pretty easy, so I went off to work at eight, as øyvind flew "home" to sweden. On the stage were susanna & the magical orchestra (pitchfork review). The place was sold out, but as the concert itself was very low at times, it was x-treemly calm. I never thought 160 more or less beerdrinking people could ever be that quiet. But the duo knew how to spellbind the crowd, and managed big time! Kind of strange to be behind the bar not being able to make a sound, or at least trying very hard not to... As the evening continued pretty calm with most regulars and some friends from other bars, I even got offers for two x-tra jobs this summer(!). And I also heard about this insane free concert in a park in Oslo this summer, not revealing anything yet as I'm not sure wether it's official or not; but it will be GRAND:) After that a guy I knew since I was fifthteen makes this hellhole of himself while we try to get him out, so after about a half hour of trying to talk him out we had to call the police. I'm happy he left before they arrived, that could have made things worse, but most certain he wont't remember himself... Anyway, pretty sad stuff...
Some more music for a slack monday;
- shotgun & jaybird; "secret" Lo-fi from smalltown canada...
- eagle*seagull; "death could be at the door" some weird despair from lincoln, nebraska...
- north atlantic explorers; "when my ship comes in" Sad, optimistic slowcore...
- duster; "orbitron" from the transmission, flux 7".
- mars accelerator; "failed connection" spacey indie from the late nineties...
- lush; "downer" live in chicago 1992...
- look blue go purple; "100 times" neat indie pop from new zealand.
- my enemy; "khreis" elektro-indie from gothenburg.
- speedmarket avenue; "I can tell by her eyes"
- my enemy; "my time coming" and some more of that swedish stuff...

Well, it's been...

...a week, and what trouble I might have got into is still a mystery to me... I guess I'll ever know, wich means no worries or a good story to laugh at...
Last week was kind of split; working my boots of, and being a total gamer-geek.
Last friday was the Datarock concert at john dee, as I overslept for the first band, wich was quasimojo, I just managed to get there for Ungdomskulen wich played grand this time. Last time they played, I complained about the songs was abit untight, but now it worked out grand. The sound was too low though, but you can hardly blame the band for that; Bad venue! Datarock was abit low too, but it worked out swell. Huge part of the crowd was strange enough not the usual rock-audience, but rather snobby west end people (the price for playing at blå?), so shitloads of young richman kids in all kinds of bright-colored hoodies, armwrists, and headbands, accompanied by little gum chewing blondes attended the concert. Kind of weird... Anyhow, ketil; good luck on your Japan and Australia tour:)
Saturday I was working as band contact on the Lorraine concert. It was this showcase thingey with shitloads of music-industrypeople. They even flew in 23 guys and girls from bmg/sony in uk to watch it... (Yes I know I'm a hypocrite working with these mean bastards, and even giving them special threatment). The concert went smooth and the place was filled to the brim, hopefully it'll get the band somewhere, which they deserve after years of hard work. I'm not a huge fan of their songs though, as it seems too popish versions of Placebo. Like Placebo meet Kent, wich on the other hand should be well sellable...
Sunday was calm latenight shift with øystein and a really crappy tip...
Monday I overslept working as band contact for ping! As they are very nice people the concert went off like hell; good band, overcrowded and enthusiastic audience, and a mood that went boom:)
After monday I didn't leave the basement untill yesterday! Was online and totally lost in the world of warcraft. After about 18hours online on tuesday, 13 on wednesday, and about 8 yesterday, Øyvind finally came to visit and drag me the hell away from the computer, and out to hit town, wich was kind of nice. Met up with christian, jens, natalie, erlend, miska, and andreas, and loads of others, but suddenly found myself as a total gamer-geek as we suddenly started a discusion on wow. -Alert! -Alert! I'm suddenly turning into this guy who can't seperate my real life and my in-game identity; spookey! Well, perhaps these days I've spend un-drinking is to blame. The weird thing about having white-days (non-alcoholic ones) is that my stamina seems to wither; I've slept about twelve hours(5-6 more than usual), and is fucked up and hung over as hell after a few beers yesterday.... So much for healthy days, hehe!Some new releases for the day;
- Test icicles; "circle square triangle" from their new "For Screening Purposes Only" album.
- Tarkio with "Tristan and Iselut" , Colin Meloy's (decemberists) college band...
- Robert Pollard; "love is stranger than witchcraft". Ex-Guided by voices frontman's new self titled solo project. Out now with "from a compound eye"
- Rocky votolato; "white daisy passing" Waxwing's frontman with his latest solo-album:"makers"

100Nok to the...
...first who can tell me what I did on friday... To be honest I had a blackout after the punk-concerts at the barricade... I woke up pretty early at home, no bruises, no new scares, and not too fucked up nerves... So here's the issue; at work yesterday jens could inform me about this very weird mail he got from me, and asked me what the hell I was doing on friday.The mail correspondence was like this;

Fortune spam.

Well, last weeks my mailbox have been spamed with these extreemely long mails from one sara freder, wanting to sell me a magical picture of herself and shitloads of ways to gain all I want to. Last time I got an astral read she said I would get abit rich on the 5th of january, get richer on the 9th of january, and my life would be turned upside down in a positive direction on friday the 13th. Well, nothing really happened those days; supposedly thats because I made the wrong decisions, but now she can help me do the right one next time. Im so happy to announce that, again, she has started this process all over! She writes;
"I have calculated the most significant DAYS
As I said, your near future is packed with many positive events, so I will only mention the major ones here, the ones you mustn't miss no matter what.
1- Your first positive day is on Thursday, January 26, 2006. Yes, on that very date I foresee an unexpected income. This relatively large amount of money will help you deal with a fair share of your financial problems.
2- Your second positive day is Monday, January 30, 2006, be prepared for some good news concerning your personal life. I envision the return of a person who is very important to you, old friends finding each other again after months of separation. Friends will give you a hand in your problems and enliven your spirit.
3- Your third lucky day, Saturday, February 04, 2006, foretells a very nice gambling pot. I clearly see the number 7 followed by many other numbers. This second unexpected income will be so sizeable it will let you start new projects and see your future from a different angle. Your spirit will literally swell. On the same week, you will make a very interesting acquaintance that will guide you towards a number of considerable financial successes.
4- On Saturday, February 11, 2006, I foresee you thinking about a beautiful trip. I see you accompanied by people you love and who love you back. I see the sun, the sea, and you in the best of shape.
5- Later still, yet another, the third, unexpected income, on Tuesday, February 21, 2006. This time, it's going to be a much bigger amount. I cannot see very clearly but it may turn out to be an inheritance or a deed. This sudden downpour of money will finally have you standing on your own grounds.
6- In the weeks ahead, there is a great event coming up involving your friends and your feelings (I guess you've been waiting a long time for this!). It is on those days that you will make an interesting acquaintance that may very well lead to something important for you - if you act sensibly. You will finally get to accomplish a project that has been aching your heart for many long years.
7- I foresee an extremely positive event about to happen in your life. At the time I am writing these lines, I still don't know what this is about - you will know more when you read the Confidential In-Depth Study of Your FORTUNE (which I am preparing for you as we speak) - but I can tell you it's going to be an extremely pleasant experience...
You'll see for yourself, Rune, this is the truth: your life is just about to become the kind of life where everything goes your way.
This is why, to make sure that you can take full advantage of all these POSITIVE events awaiting you, I have decided to let you have what I have never been allowed to give away before: I will reveal to you ABSOLUTELY FREE and present to you as a confidential GIFT
The Powerful Secret of the WHEEL of FORTUNE
I must tell you that the Powerful Secret of the Wheel of Fortune has come into my possession from an illustrious psychic, who demanded my promise not to reveal it except in cases of extreme emergency. I have seldom shared this marvelous and powerful secret, aside for very special cases. This is the first time I am revealing this secret to an outside person, and it is you, Rune, because I truly believe you deserve it and need it.
This Powerful Secret will teach you how to easily earn large amounts of money regularly. Until today, I have only shared this secret with very few selected people, but today the Powerful Secret of the Wheel of Fortune is going to be yours, Rune."
Damned, I feel lucky, especially to be the first as she never given away this before, and the next because she only did this a few times before.... And she dont wanna give me my gift unless I buy something else from her; wich make me feel even more like her chosen one. But she hits the nail on the trip, as I am in Tromsø on the 11th... Better be sure to handle in the lotteryticket on the 4th, just in case....
Anyhow, datarock is playing on john dee tomorrow, and It's my day off:) So I gotta run down and get myself on the guestlist; in the mean time you can listen to "joe jackson" from Volcano, I' still excited!'s selftitled album from 2004, enjoy:)

Spend the...

...last day laxing in my basement. After work on sunday, and a major fuck up on my behalf (forgot to lock the sundays cash and safe at work!), wich fortunately went well; -Phew! Not a repeatable thing to do. Woke up about seven p.m and finished up Øysteins computer. After some pizza, beers and one and a half hours of cursing and cd-smashing, it was up on foot:) Too lazy to bother anything else I ended up playing wow all night and fell asleep pretty late on tuesday. Not set a foot outside since...
Today I saw this really weird, christian documentary" on the illuminati and 9/11. The "proofs" on the conspiracies was thight enough; but suddenly it turned into like a guide on what to do for christian, american citizens to avoid the new world order, and how to uphold the republic. A pretty weird tuoch of christian/republican moral standards, anti-capitalism, patriotism, and christian love for other christians, merged into a wild anti-bush/anti-fascist/anti-zionist soup... It kind of reminded me of the propaganda movie me and a few friends saw at the scientologists totally wacked out on acid ten years ago (a totally insane experience, and off course we eventually got tossed out). Had to turn of when they started with angels and spirituality on top of everything. After that I watched the entire "kingdom hospital" series. The storyline was kind of different than the danish original, but it was kind of good too. The merge between stephen kings horror touch, and Von trier's humour and sence for absurdities made a pretty good one. But now I'm a sucker for more mysterious horror (I really hate splatter and monster movies, they're just gorey, and not spooky at all...). Well getting readdy for work, and then Øyvind is coming back to town tomorrow...Hmm, thought I had more in mind, but you'll have to manage with some useless crap for now:P
